During the first and second phases of the state’s distracted driving enforcement campaign a combined 4,195 drivers have been cited for distracted driving, officials said today.
The second phase of the special enforcement wave concluded last week, with 2,043 drivers stopped and issued citations for distracted driving between April 9 and April 22, said Alison Kirk, spokeswoman for the state Office of Highway Safety.
